Legal terms for website use and enquiries

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service explain the rules for using the SunHarvest website and submitting enquiries about solar PV installation, solar battery storage, and related services in Ireland. If you are looking for how we handle personal data, please read our Privacy Policy.

SunHarvest is a Dublin based solar PV and battery storage installer. Registered business contact details are shown in the footer of this website. These Terms apply to your use of the website at sunharvest.ink and to any enquiry you submit through our forms, by email, or by telephone.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing or using this website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the website.

You must be at least 16 years old to submit an enquiry through our forms. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or guardian to contact us and to request a quote. The website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly market to minors.

2. What SunHarvest provides

SunHarvest provides information about solar panels in Dublin and across Ireland, solar PV installation, solar battery storage, and related services. The website includes general educational content, service descriptions, cost guidance, and information on the SEAI Solar Electricity Grant.

When you contact us, we may provide an initial estimate based on the details you share. Any estimate is indicative only until we complete a site survey and confirm technical requirements such as roof orientation, shading, roof structure condition, electrical capacity, and safe cable routing. A final scope of works and price will be provided in a written quotation, and an installation will only proceed if both parties agree to the quote and scheduling.

The website may reference typical system sizes and costs in Ireland in 2026. These figures are included to help you plan and compare options, but they are not a guarantee of pricing or savings. Solar PV output and bill savings vary by site, electricity tariff, household behaviour, and equipment selection.

3. Accounts and user obligations

You can browse the website without creating an account. If we introduce account features in the future, you agree to provide accurate information, keep your login details secure, and promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorised access. One account per person is permitted unless we expressly agree otherwise.

When submitting an enquiry or requesting a site survey, you agree to provide accurate and complete contact details. You also agree that you will not submit information on behalf of another person without their permission. If you provide a phone number or email address, you confirm that it is yours or that you are authorised to use it for the purpose of contacting us.

You agree to use the website for lawful purposes only and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their ability to use the site. You must not attempt to interfere with the normal operation of the site, including its security features.

4. Prohibited activities

You may not, directly or indirectly, engage in any of the following activities in connection with this website:

  • Scraping, harvesting, or collecting content, prices, contact details, or any website data using automated tools without our written permission.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorised access to the website, server, or any systems connected to the website.
  • Introducing malware, viruses, worms, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or limit functionality.
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code from any part of the site, except where permitted by law.
  • Impersonating SunHarvest, a SunHarvest employee, or any other person, or misrepresenting your affiliation.
  • Submitting spam enquiries, fraudulent requests, or content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or infringes intellectual property rights.
  • Using the website to send unsolicited marketing messages or to promote unrelated products or services.
  • Testing the vulnerability of the site, running load tests, or performing any activity that could degrade service availability without prior written consent.

5. Intellectual property

6. Disclaimers and no warranties

The website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We aim to keep information accurate and up to date, including SEAI grant details and general market guidance, but we cannot guarantee that all information is complete, error free, or current at the time you view it.

Any content relating to solar PV output, bill savings, payback periods, or equipment performance is provided for general information only. It is not financial advice, and it does not create any warranty or guarantee. System performance depends on variables such as roof pitch and orientation, shading, weather, electricity tariffs, household usage, export arrangements, and product specifications.

We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors. We may temporarily suspend access for maintenance, security updates, or operational reasons.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SunHarvest will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the website. This includes loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of data, business interruption, or reputational loss, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SunHarvest’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the website or these Terms is limited to the lesser of (a) the amount you paid to SunHarvest in the twelve months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) €100. If you have not paid SunHarvest any amount, the cap will be €100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SunHarvest, its officers, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the website, or your violation of any law or third party rights.

9. Third party links

The website may reference third party products, standards, or programmes in the solar industry. Any third party links that appear on the site are provided for convenience and informational purposes only. SunHarvest does not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content, policies, or practices of external websites.

10. Privacy and data protection

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal data, including data collected through contact forms and the cookie consent banner. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy on a data protection topic, the Privacy Policy will govern.

If you submit an enquiry, we use your contact details to respond, provide quotes, and arrange surveys, in line with the purposes and legal bases described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell personal data.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Subject to the dispute resolution section below, you agree that the courts of Dublin, Ireland will have exclusive jurisdiction to hear and determine any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the website.

12. Dispute resolution

Before filing any formal legal claim, you agree to contact us and provide a description of the issue and the outcome you are seeking. We will attempt to resolve disputes informally within 30 days of receiving your notice.

If we cannot resolve a dispute within the 30 day informal resolution period, either party may bring a claim in the courts specified in the Governing law and jurisdiction section. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or equitable relief where appropriate.

13. Termination and suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access to the website, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, attempted to compromise the security of the website, or used the site for unlawful or prohibited activities.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Intellectual property, Disclaimers, Limitation of liability, Indemnification, Governing law, and Dispute resolution.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the website, legal requirements, or operational practices. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
